Why Positive Thinking is Not Enough

If you have something you want to change or achieve and think that positive thinking can help you, you should first make sure that you really have a burning desire to actually achieve that goal. If you for instance walk around all day saying: “I am thin and healthy, I am thin and healthy, I am thin and healthy” but you do not feel anything when you say it, you will not change anything and you are just wasting your time. This road of positive thinking will only lead you to failure and a feeling of disappointment. If your goal is to lose weight, and your daily mantra is “I am thin and healthy”, you should take some time to allow yourself to really feel it. Sit or lie down for a couple of minutes each day and when you say it, see and feel yourself being thin and healthy. Feel happy and excited by your achievement. Use your imagination to create a clear and powerful picture of your goal, or else it will not be enough to change your thought pattern and provoke change in your life.

Then you need to actually act. This is very important. If you only focus on thinking your way to success, you will not get very far as every change needs some action. But when you start to focus on your goal with all of your energy, you will start to become more and more receptive to things around you and all the different opportunities you did not notice before. So whenever you get a good idea of something you can do that will lead you to your dream, you should act on it and believe that this is the road to success.

So stop wasting your time with empty mantras and a half-hearted attitude, but invest yourself into your project with positive thoughts AND consistent action and you will start to see your life change.
